Hello Hugh,
Since many home fires begin in the garage code requires a 'fire wall' between the garage and home. I don't know of any reason a back door would be a problem for a "doggie door".

How about a doggie door in the back door of the house leading to the backyard? Any insurance issues here?

Hey Bruce,

Thanks. Keep watching this blog. I write about Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister, San Juan Bautista, Aromas and Prunedale markets and things that effect homes there.
